our story

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been captivated by the magic of flowers, plants, and wild places. My childhood was spent barefoot and free on my grandparents’ farm—chasing fireflies, talking to animals, and finding peace under the Northern Lights. Nature was my first teacher and my greatest comfort.

As life unfolded, I became a wife, a mother of three, and a guide for thousands seeking peace through meditation and breathwork. But it wasn’t until the pandemic that I truly understood: healing isn’t just about going inward—it’s also about returning outward, back to the land.

We didn’t find The Red Barn—it found us. After a series of powerful synchronicities, we arrived in July 2021 and immediately knew we weren’t its owners, but its caretakers. Formerly known as El Refugio (The Refuge), this sacred land has long been a place of rest and nourishment for animals, travelers, and seekers alike.

Today, we grow healing flowers and nourishing vegetables, offer mindfulness and breathwork classes, and open our gates to all who long for deeper connection—with themselves, with community, and with nature.

We're honored to steward this land and welcome you to experience the sanctuary it continues to be.

xo, Mandy
